Selma Farer (Wurtzel), 88, of Scotch Plains died Feb. 28, 2017. Born in the Bronx and raised in Newark, she raised her family in Cranford and moved to Scotch Plains in 1974.
She attended Weequahic High School in Newark.
Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Henry, in 2013, she is survived by her son, David (Elisa King Farer) of New York City, and her daughter, Leslie of Hoboken.
Services were held March 5 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
