Seymour Aronson
Seymour Aronson (“Sy”), 89, of Delray Beach, Fla., died April 15, 2018. He was born in Irvington and lived in West Orange for over 40 years before relocating to Delray Beach in 2008.
Mr. Aronson worked as a photographer and was known for his keychain viewers, providing quick turnaround for patrons the same day of the party. He frequently worked at many catering houses, including Goldman’s Hotel, Appian Way, The Chandelier, and San Carlo and was the house photographer for Biase Restaurant in Newark.
He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.
He was a member of B’nai B’rith in New Jersey and The Jewish Center of West Orange. He was a member of the men’s club at Lakes of Delray.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lorraine (Bassoff); two daughters, Judy (the late Justin) Kaan and Sharon (the late Dave) Cohn; and three grandchildren.
Services were held April 18 with arrangements by Weiss Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to American Parkinson’s Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, N.Y. 10305.
