SHAPIRO-CASSIDY

Kathleen Elizabeth Cassidy, daughter of Cheryl L. Cassidy and Harry T. Cassidy of Tabernacle, was married June 4, 2011, to Ian Ross Shapiro, son of Bonnie J. Shapiro and Theodore Shapiro of Livingston.

Judge Jonathan Lippman, chief judge of the state of New York, performed the ceremony at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in New York City.

Ms. Cassidy graduated from Yale University and received her law degree from Columbia University, where she was a James Kent Scholar. She is an associate at Hafetz Necheles & Rocco, a New York law firm. Until May she was an associate in the New York office of Cooley, a law firm based in Palo Alto, Calif., in which Mr. Shapiro is a partner, also working in the New York office.

Mr. Shapiro, a graduate of Livingston High School, also graduated from Yale University and received his law degree from Harvard University, where he was an editor and Notes Chair of the Harvard Law Review. He clerked for the Honorable Michael B. Mukasey, chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The couple resides in Brooklyn Heights.
