SHIRAZI-KATZ
Ashley Shirazi, daughter of Penny and Mehran Shirazi of Monroe, N.Y., is engaged to Jason Katz, son of Barbara Katz of Rockaway and Joel and Marla Katz of Morris Plains.
Ms. Shirazi received a B.A. in political science from SUNY Albany and a M.A. in Conflict Resolution/Mediation from Tel Aviv University. She is a sixth-grade teacher at Elysian Charter School in Hoboken.
Mr. Katz graduated from Hebrew Academy of Morris County (now RTW Gottesman Academy) in 2005. He earned a B.S. in biochemistry from Lehigh University and a master’s degree in engineering from Rutgers University. He works at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Princeton.
The couple met while attending a Masa Israel program in Tel Aviv. A 2019 wedding is being planned.
