Stanley Horowitz
Stanley Horowitz of West Orange died April 5, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Randolph for 40 years before retiring to Monroe Township and West Palm Beach, Fla.
Dr. Horowitz served as director of the Morris County Guidance Center and was an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also had a private practice.
He earned his PhD in psychology from Oklahoma University.
He was a World War II veteran.
Predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Alice, he is survived by his daughter, Janet of Rockaway; his son, Lloyd of Raleigh, NC; and four grandchildren.
Services were held April 9 with arrangements by Gutterman Bros., Lake Hiawatha. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Daughters of Israel in West Orange, or Family Service of Morris County.
