Stanley Maisel

Stanley L. Maisel, 89, of Monroe Township died Jan. 2, 2020. Born in Newark, he resided in Westfield before settling in Monroe 16 years ago. He spent his winters in Delray Beach, Fla.

A civil engineer, Mr. Maisel worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, for over 30 years. After retiring as chief of planning in 1985, he continued his engineering career as a private consultant for another 18 years.

Predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Quiat), in 2014, he is survived by his son, Lee (Eileen) Maisel of Scotch Plains; his daughter, Minda Maisel (James Ehrenthal) of Scotch Plains; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 3 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.
