That’s a very big bagel
What do New Yorkers have for breakfast on Thanksgiving morning?
Maybe, just maybe, a bagel and lox, right? And of course you’re having coffee.
So if you had the iconic New York breakfast, and you watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you might have seen your breakfast strolling up Central Park West.
Last year, the lox bagel and coffee trycaloon — no, we didn’t make that up, it’s apparently the name for a balloon-tricycle device — made its debut, its power supplied by a rider dressed like someone behind a deli counter.
The bagel and the lox balloon — and the coffee cup balloon, modeled after the classic Green diner paper cup — were each about 10 feet fall. That is a big bagel, a lot of lox, and probably too much coffee.
The plan was for the trycaloon to come back this year — we assume it did.
