The Book of Exodus in northwest NJ and and online
Rabbi Asher Herson will teach a new 10-week course on the Book of Exodus, called “Let My People Know.” The course, offered both in person and online, begins on Monday, December 25, 7 p.m., at the Chabad Educational Center in Rockaway Township. Each session is self-contained, and students can join at any time.
“The Book of Exodus, the landmark book describing the creation of the Jewish people and the receiving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai, makes for stirring study,” Rabbi Herson said. “This book contains the cornerstones of all spiritual thought, and its heartwarming lessons establish the most pertinent principles of the Torah and of Judaism. With the aid of classic talmudic and kabbalistic sources, the classes will elucidate and help each student apply the timeless messages of these precious biblical passages to circumstances and experiences of everyday life.”
The course uses a newly created textbook with user-friendly texts and a collection of thought-provoking resource material. The Torah studies course, textbooks, and PowerPoint presentations were developed by a team of talmudic professors under the auspices of the Jewish Learning Institute.
The course fee, including textbook, is $36, and scholarships are available. For information and to register, call (973) 625-1525 ext. 227, email RabbiHerson@OneTorahWay.org, or go to www.OneTorahWay.org.
