Winifred J. Greenwald

Winifred J. Greenwald, 87, of Interlaken died Jan. 1, 2012. Born in the Bronx, she also had lived in Bradley Beach before moving to Interlaken 57 years ago.

Mrs. Greenwald worked for many years as a secretary in the procurement division at Fort Monmouth, and later assisted her husband in his real estate business.

She was a member of National Council of Jewish Women, Hadassah, and B’nai B’rith Women and a charter member of Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary Post 125. She was a member of Congregation Torat El and was involved with the JCC of Greater Monmouth County’s current events and Yiddish clubs.

Predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Bernard, in 2003, she is survived by her daughter, Barbara Murray of Oceanport; her son, Michael of West Orange; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
