In the Poconos, he mingled with entertainers such as Jerome Robbins, Carol Channing, and Imogene Coca. In the 1960’s and 70s, as a bandleader and lead singer, he led his own orchestra under the name of Andrey Chernoff. He performed at many hasidic weddings in the NY area and led cantorial services at the Perrineville Jewish Center for many years.
