Bessie Katz

Bessie Katz (Hirsch), 101, of West Orange died May 7, 2015, eight days before her 102nd birthday. Born in Lithuania, after her arrival in the United States she resided in Bayonne and South Orange before moving to West Orange several years ago.

Predeceased by her husband, Abraham, Mrs. Katz is survived by her daughter, Renee Berkowitz of Springfield; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held May 10 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
