Robin Fuchs

Robin Fuchs, 87, of Lawrenceville died Sept. 11, 2017. He was born in Lodz, Poland, prior to the start of World War II. 

Shortly after the war began, Mr. Fuchs made his way out of Poland and was the only member of his family to survive Nazi persecution. After the war, he arrived as a teenager in Palestine, where he joined the military as a paratrooper and fought in Israel’s War of Independence. Later, he served with NATO troops in Korea, Cyprus, and other venues. In the late 1950s after briefly living in London, he immigrated to the United States, settling in Flemington and then in Trenton, where he resided for the rest of his life. 

He worked as a constable before developing a bail bonds business. 

He was involved in civic and political groups and was a member of the Jewish War Veterans. 

He is survived by two sons, Benjamin of Denver and Daniel (Marjorie) of Montclair; two granddaughters; and his companion of many years, Marge Palace. 

Private services were held with arrangements by Riverside Memorial Chapels, Ewing.
