Sinai students and families celebrated their creative accomplishments at Sinai’s Unique Inspirations student art show. The May 4 program at Congregation Beth Abraham in Bergenfield featured work students created at Sinai’s New Jersey schools through the Paley-Mironov Art Therapy program. The show, a highlight of the Sinai academic year since 2014, is sponsored by Bear Givers.
For many Sinai students, art is a tool that helps them communicate, making the messages on many of their canvases both meaningful and inspiring. “Art therapy helps our students manage their emotions, fostering self-awareness and self-worth,” art therapist Sarah Tarzik said. “Engaging in art activities and using their creativity helps our students boost their confidence, connect with others, and feel more resilient, while decreasing their stress and anxiety.”
Other shows, featuring the artwork of students at the Irving Montak Sinai School at SAR Academy and Sinai at Yeshiva of Central Queens, were held on May 6 and 7.
The students’ artwork is online and can be bought on canvas, mugs, mousepads, and greeting cards. For information, go to www.sinaischools.org/2025-sinai-art-shows; all proceeds support Sinai’s Paley-Mironov Art Therapy program.
