Stanley Wax

Stanley Wax, 93, of West Orange died May 16, 2011. He was born in Brooklyn and also maintained a home in Florida for 18 years.

Mr. Wax was employed as an engineer for Lummus Company for over 30 years and was a secretary of the Brooklyn Engineers Club. His subsequent venture was in real estate development. He was responsible for introducing the Camelot Development in Berkeley Heights and New Providence.

He attended night school at Brooklyn PolyTech Institute for many years.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps and trained as a Navigator in World War II.

He and his wife were members of the Wedgwood Society. They developed an expertise of Wedgwood rare pieces and antiques and were dealers for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Ruth (Berry); two daughters, Jody Wax of Amherst, Mass., and Amy Wax-Orloff of Montclair; a sister, Mildred Gordon of Pensacola, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Powell-Marrocco Funeral Home, Clifton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harvard Brain Tissue Research Center.
