Buena Rosenbloom, 94, of Highland Park died April 22, 2020. Born in New Brunswick, she lived in Highland Park most of her life.
From 1949 to 1956, Ms. Rosenbloom was the head librarian at the Clara Barton K-9 School in Edison. In 1956, she became the head librarian at the newly built Edison High School. She retired in 1995.
She was a graduate of New Brunswick High School and received a bachelor of arts in library science in 1949 from Douglass College at Rutgers University. She also received her master of arts degree from Rutgers.
She had professional memberships in the National and New Jersey education associations, Middlesex County Retired Educators Association, and NJMA.
She was a longtime member of the Ladies Who Had Lunch Club. She was a season subscriber to the Metropolitan Opera and Ballet, NJ Symphony, and George Street Playhouse. She was an avid gardener.
Private services were held April 27 with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick.
