CTeen Gathering draws thousands
A delegation of Jewish teens from Somerset County’s CTeen chapter, under the guidance of Rabbi Mendel and Chaya Shemtov, directors of Chabad of Somerset County, joined the CTeen International Summit in Manhattan. The summit’s goals are to fortify Jewish teens, provide them with a platform to connect with other teens from around the world, and strengthen their Jewish pride and leadership in this challenging time.
The gathering drew more than 4,000 participants from 60 countries, who talked about their experiences standing up to antisemitism at school, supporting their peers through tough times, and finding meaning in their Jewish identity. A Havdalah ceremony in Times Square was a high point of the meeting.
