JCHC gala is set for October 6
The Jewish Community Housing Corporation will hold its annual gala on October 6 at 6 p.m. at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston. The evening celebrates the organization’s mission, honors community leaders, and raises support for programs and services that strengthen the lives of those whom it serves. The evening also will recognize the organization’s 2026 gala honorees.
The gala unites supporters, partners, volunteers, and friends at a cocktail dinner reception and program. It includes a performance by the JCHC resident choir and a keynote address by Katie Smith Sloan, CEO of LeadingAge and executive director of the Global Ageing Network.
This year’s honorees are Assemblywoman Dr. Rosaura (Rosy) Bagolie (D-27), DIGroup Architecture, and the Wilf family.
Assemblywoman Bagolie is a proud Jewish Latina and longtime educator. She’s vice-chair of the Assembly Education Committee and is a member of the Assembly Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee and the Commerce and Economic Development Committee. Before her election to the New Jersey General Assembly, she was a councilwoman in Livingston, where she and her husband, Ricky, and their three sons have lived for nearly 20 years.
DIGroup Architecture, whose Senior Living Studio is led by firm president Vincent Myers, advances a mission-driven philosophy of Architecture for Change. Under Mr. Myers’ leadership, the firm prioritizes community impact, equity, and social responsibility across the public and private sectors, including government, education, healthcare, senior living, and civic infrastructure. Its work reflects the belief that architecture is a civic responsibility and a powerful tool for neighborhood transformation.
The Wilf family spans three generations of giving, dedicated to advancing Jewish communal life and supporting vulnerable populations in the United States, Israel, and beyond. The Wilf Family Foundations have supported housing, education, health, and social services for more than 60 years, guided by the values of tzedakah and tikkun olam established by its founders, Holocaust survivors Harry and Joseph Wilf. The family’s continued support of organizations like JCHC reflects a strong commitment to dignity, opportunity, and quality of life for older adults and communities worldwide.

All gala proceeds will support financial assistance and enhanced programming for JCHC’s senior residents. Kashrut rules will be observed, and valet parking will be provided.
