Deli-King’s rugelach

I’ve been meaning to write since reading Johanna Ginsberg’s “Deli-King of Linden files for bankruptcy” (Jan. 24).

Tell customers like Susan Schachter, Jewish Family Service of MetroWest (JFS) director of older adult and disability services, who was quoted in Ginsberg’s story, that the delicious rugelach sold by Deli-King came from Swiss Pastry Shoppe in Scotch Plains.

I’ve been a customer of that bakery for over 30 years since I was served some Swiss Pastry Shoppe baked goods at my first Mother’s Day brunch at a local restaurant. The owner John Cioffi and his son Rob also prepare the baked goods served after Saturday morning services for a number of N.J. synagogues. (FYI, the Swiss Pastry Shoppe challah is also exceptional.)
