A son, Charles Spencer (Shimon), to ERICA and JEREMY BERMAN of Westfield on May 28, 2014. The maternal grandparents are Allyson and Bruce Speier of Parsippany. The paternal grandparents are Gail and Mitchell Berman of Medford. The maternal great-grandparents are Esther Speier and Walter Zeman, both of West Orange. The paternal great-grandmother is Elaine Finkel of Voorhees. Charles Spencer is named in memory of his paternal great-great-grandmother Sarah Stern.

Charles joins a brother, Zachary.
