Jack Segall
Jack W. Segall, 97, of Fanwood died Feb. 18, 2019. Born in Newark, he lived for a time in Boynton Beach, Fla., before recently moving to Fanwood.
Before his retirement, Mr. Segall was the owner/operator of Irvington Metals Co., a scrap iron and metal business, in Elizabeth.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served during World War II.
A Mason, he was also a member of the Shackamaxon Country Club and the first president of that organization to serve two terms.
Predeceased by his three wives, Estelle (Ehrenkranz), Carol (Amron), and Gloria (Punyon), he is survived by his son, Alan of Mountainside; his daughter, Bonnie Schachter of Springfield; a sister, Sherry Bratter of Elizabeth; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 20 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Union County Torah Center, Westfield.
