Lawrence J. Rubin
Lawrence (Larry) J. Rubin, 61, of East Windsor died Nov. 29, 2010. Born in New Brunswick, he grew up in South Brunswick and later in Highland Park.
Mr. Rubin was a senior project manager for the Halpern Organization in Woodbridge for the past 21 years. During his tenure there, he supervised the construction of about 2,700 homes including the Renaissance development in North Brunswick. Prior to that, he was the owner of North Star Construction Company, one of the largest roofing and siding companies at that time in New Jersey.
He attended Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva as well as the Jewish Educational Center in Elizabeth. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He spent much time helping a number of Jewish day schools and synagogues in the Lakewood and East Windsor communities with private construction projects. He also engaged in Torah and Jewish studies with several rabbis in Lakewood.
He is survived by his wife, Teri; two sons, Seth and Jared; two daughters, Jennifer and Jessica; his parents, Cy and Esther Rubin of Highland Park; his sister, Roxanne Lopatin; and two brothers, Lanny and Steve.
Services were held Dec. 1 with arrangements by Goldstein Funeral Home, Edison.
