Leslie Novick
Leslie Howard Novick, 79, of Jackson died May 15, 2014. Born in Newark, he lived in Roseland for many years and in Montville before moving to Jackson in 2002.
Mr. Novick, a certified public accountant, was a partner in Manheim, Kosson & Novick in Millburn, which became Citrin Cooperman in Springfield, for many years before retiring.
He was a graduate of Weequahic High School in Newark, and was a pitcher on its baseball team. He earned a BS in accounting from Seton Hall University in 1956.
He served in the Air National Guard of New Jersey and the Reserve of the U.S. Air Force.
He was a former member of the Free and Accepted Masons for over 40 years. He was the men’s club president of Congregation Agudath Israel in Caldwell, and was designated “Man of the Year.”
Predeceased by a son, Andrew, he is survived by his wife, Frances (Wachsman); two daughters, Abby (David) Salzman of Scarsdale, NY, and Allison (John) Occhipinti of Boonton; a son, Robert (Karen) of Englewood, Colo.; a brother, Larry of Marlboro; and six grandchildren.
Services were held May 18 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
