Passover in Rockaway Township

Rabbis Asher Herson, Mordechai Baumgarten, and Mendel Stiefel and their families invite local residents to join them in celebrating the Passover seders together. The seders will be at the Chabad Center of Northwest NJ on the first two nights of Passover, April 1 and 2, at 7:45 p.m. The seders will be run in a meaningful and user-friendly manner, complete with bilingual texts and accompanied by a full-course dinner.

“All those attending our seders, especially children, are our honored guests,” Rabbi Herson, the Chabad Center’s regional director, said. “It is so meaningful to have people of all backgrounds gathering together to celebrate the seder in a comfortable and joyous atmosphere. A basic principle in Judaism is that spiritual events are absorbed differently when experienced with many people, particularly when participants embody diverse perspectives and levels of observance. This is especially so with the Passover seders.”

Traditional hand-baked shmurah matzah will be available to community members who are conducting their own seders.

RSVP for the seders online at www.onetorahway.org/seder. Voluntary contributions to help cover costs are accepted, but never requested. To get shmurah matzah or to sell chametz, go to www.onetorahway.org/passover2026, call Rabbi Baumgarten at (973) 625-1525, ext. 202, or email RabbiB@onetorahway.org. Go to the Passover mega site, www.OneTorahWay.org/passover, for more information.
