Producing Palin

Producing Palin

For those who have forgotten the plot of The Producers: two con men want to raise money for a play and then run off with the cash. In order to do this, the play must be a flop, so they put on a musical about Hitler. To their surprise, the show is a big hit.

When I see Sarah Palin getting so much news coverage and being considered for president or any national office, I think of The Producers.

How can someone of such limited ability and knowledge of important world issues be so prominent? I think the answer is that we created that situation by giving Palin so much attention. If the media would simply treat her as someone with little of importance to say, she would disappear into the background and we could get down to solving more pressing problems.
