Rabbi seeking submissions for book
RABBI DEBRA W. SMITH is seeking submissions for a book she is editing whose working title is “Peace, Justice and Compassion in Divisive Times: Multi-Faith Prayers, Blessings, and Reflections.” Topics to consider include racial, gender, and economic injustices, health care inequities, food instability, immigration, the environment, and more. Prayers, blessings, and reflections on healing and gratitude are also welcome for consideration. Each submission will be reviewed by a panel. Authors of accepted works will receive one complimentary copy of the book and will be able to purchase bulk copies at a discounted rate.
Submissions are due by Dec. 1; please use gender neutral God language,
if possible. Include a brief biography of no more than three sentences
with each submission and email to hineni77@gmail.com with “BOOK SUBMISSSION” in the subject line. Smith, a clinical social worker, is founder and spiritual leader Congregation Or Ha Lev in Succasunna.
She is the rabbi-in-residence at the Drew University Theological Seminary in Madison and author of “Every Tallit Tells a Tale.”
