Ruth Elkin Mendelson, 100, of Monroe Township died Sept. 11, 2019. Born in Moodus, Conn., she also was a resident of New Haven, Conn., and lived in Concordia in Monroe for the past 30 years.
Mrs. Mendelson was an elementary school teacher for many years before retiring. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, she earned her master’s degree at Teachers College of Connecticut.
Predeceased by her husband, Theodore, and her son-in-law, Bill Felder, she is survived by her daughter, Jane Felder; her son, Paul (Debbie); four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 13 at The Jewish Center in Princeton, with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Penn Medicine Hospice in Plainsboro or The Jewish Center.
