Virtual High Holy Days series
American Jewish University and My Jewish Learning will host “High Holy Days for the Soul,” a series of online community events that highlight paths to spiritual enlightenment and personal growth.
During the tefillah program on September 28, Rabbis Carrie Vogel and Sharon Brous will talk about the power of prayer. Rabbi Brous is an author and the founding and senior rabbi of IKAR, a non-denominational Jewish congregation and spiritual community in Los Angeles. Rabbi Vogel is the director of undergraduate initiatives at American Jewish University.
The tzedakah and charitable giving session on October 5 features Rabbis Vogel and Noah Farkas discussing the importance of tzedakah and social responsibility. Rabbi Farkas is the president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater L.A. Both programs are at 3 p.m., on American Jewish University’s open learning platform. https://open.aju.edu.
