Cafe Europa conducts seder in South Orange

On April 8, Jewish Family Service of MetroWest New Jersey hosted 30 Holocaust survivors and second-generation caregivers for the JFS Café Europa Passover model seder. Rabbi Mendel Solomon, the executive director and spiritual leader at Chabad at Short Hills, conducted the program, which was held at at Oheb Shalom Congregation.

Max Kleinman of West Orange, who will be celebrating his 103rd birthday, was among the participants.

Social services for Jewish victims of the Nazis have been supported by a grant from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. Holocaust services are made possible by a grant from the JFNA Center on Holocaust Survivor Care and Institute on Aging and Trauma, Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ, KAVOD SHEF in partnership with Seed the Dream Foundation, the Sephardic Foundation on Aging, the State of New Jersey, the Wilf Family Foundation, and other generous donors.
