Chabad Center of Northwest NJ to celebrate its 36th anniversary
The Chabad Center of Northwest New Jersey will celebrate its 36th anniversary at a gala dinner, with entertainment, on Monday, April 15, at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston. A lavish buffet will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the celebratory dinner and program will follow at 6:45.
Mark Fusari of Design Contractors is the Man of the Year; D. Jeremy Pugliese of Planning Alliance is the Pillar of Kindness honoree; and Stuart and Robin Kwestel, the guests of honor, are the Community Service awardees. The evening’s theme, “Celebrating 36 Sparkling Years — 2 Life,” reflects the Chabad Center’s mission from day one, to bring the inner soul of every human being to life.
The Chabad Center was created, 35 years ago, by a small nucleus of pioneers making plans around a living room table. It has grown into a full-scale community foundation with eight regional centers.
“The achievements we have been blessed with are a direct result of the selfless efforts of outstanding individuals who have made the growth of our educational, charitable and social programs an absolute priority in their lives,” Rabbi Asher Herson, the center’s regional director, said. “We also know that the maximization of past accomplishments is only realized when we regularly take them to a higher level, as the verse says: ‘From Strength to Strength.’ We pray that the energy and message of our 36th anniversary dinner will enhance the growth and vibrancy of our community programs to levels yet unseen.”
