More than 300 people attended Chabad of SE Morris County’s Solidarity Gala on June 18 at 56 At Roseland.

Brothers Rabbi Shalom Lubin and Rabbi Mendy Lubin flank Michael Seeve.

Michael Seeve received the Community Leadership award and Paul and Rachel Selvin were the Volunteers of the Year awardees. Jodi Prupis and Jordyn, Leah, and Adele Flager received the Women of Valor award and Hannah Naftal was the Teen Visionary award recipient.

Mark Sinay speaks at the gala.

The honorees all said that it was meaningful for them to volunteer for Chabad’s Caring Kitchen and how making weekly and holiday deliveries to the less fortunate in the community has changed their lives. The Caring Kitchen enables the local community to give to people who are less fortunate in a fun, warm environment. Volunteers help prepare and distribute meals, hearty soups, pastries, and care packages to seniors and people in need.

Drew University student Mark Sinay told his story of resilience on campus after October 7. He also thanked Chabad for opening the new Chabad at Drew University, led by Rabbi Aaron and Gani Goodman. The evening included fine dining, live music, and stories to celebrate the unbreakable spirit of Jewish strength and pride.
