Colorful profiles in Jewish history
Chabad of West Orange offers “Colorful Profiles in Jewish History,” a new four-session Rohr Jewish Learning Institute led by Rabbi Mendy Kasowitz, Chabad West Orange JLI instructor/director.
The Torah-centered course begins at 8 p.m., on Wednesday, August 27, and will highlight 12 intriguing and lesser-known Jewish figures who showed courage throughout history including high-profile hostages, savvy businesswomen, unlikely converts, and others.
It’s at Chabad of West Orange and is open to adults and geared toward every level of knowledge, including those who have no background in Hebrew or Judaism. Participants need not be affiliated with a synagogue to attend.
