Dov Wilker to be honored in Atlanta

Dov Wilker, a native of northern New Jersey, will be honored with the Atlanta American Jewish Committee’s 2025 Distinguished Advocate award on Sunday, May 4, in Atlanta.

A proud Jew and Zionist, Wilker attended the Reuben Gittleman Hebrew Day School in Rockland County and the Frisch High School in Paramus. He is the son of Simone and the late Bernie Wilker, formerly of Washington Township.

He has been the southeast regional director of the American Jewish Committee since 2012 and AJC’s national director for Black Jewish relations since 2019.

After earning his International MBA from Tel Aviv University, Mr. Wilker worked for an Israeli software start-up. He began his career in advocacy with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the southeastern United States. He has served on the boards of the Faith Alliance for Metro Atlanta, the City of Atlanta Human Rights Council, and the Georgia Advisory Council for the U.S. Global Leadership Council.

In 2023, the Atlanta Business Chronicle recognized Mr. Wilker as a civic diversity champion; he’s also been named a 40 under 40 by both the Atlanta Jewish Times and the Atlanta Business Chronicle and he received the Asian American Heritage Foundation’s distinguished service award. Always looking to learn and grow, he is an alumnus of the Wexner Field Fellow Class 5 and the LEAD Atlanta class of 2015. He is married to Juliana Jacobson; the couple has two daughters.
