THE HON. JACOB J. “Jack” Lew, the 76th secretary of the U.S. Treasury (2013-17), will speak on “The Global Economy and Geopolitical Forces: A Look Ahead” at Strictly Business 2019, a program presented by Jewish Vocational Service of MetroWest. The breakfast and networking event will be held on Friday, Nov. 15, 7:30 to 10 a.m. in the Wilshire Grand Hotel, West Orange.
As Treasury secretary, Lew helped to shape policies that drove the longest economic recovery in American history. He also oversaw all aspects of international and domestic fiscal policy, including issues related to financial regulation, global sanctions regimes, tax policy, debt management, and trade. Previously, Lew served as White House chief of staff (2012-13) and director of the Office of Management and Budget (2010-12 and 1998-2001).
He is a partner at the private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg and a professor of international and public affairs at Columbia University.
