Fundraising expert named regional officer of American Friends of Hebrew University
Veteran fundraising executive Wilhelmina Waldman of Glen Ridge is the new philanthropic officer for American Friends of the Hebrew University’s Northeast region. She will work in the New York office with the existing Northeast team, reporting to Maura Milles, the regional executive director.
Ms. Waldman’s daughters are students at the Golda Och Academy in West Orange and are active in BBYO. Her husband, Yossi Harosh, an Israeli, is an active member of the Congregation Zichron Dovid minyan in West Orange.
Ms. Waldman has more than 20 years of management experience, specializing in philanthropy and strategic planning. Before joining AFHU, she was the founding executive director of Well/Beings and vice president of philanthropy for the ASPCA. She’s worked for a variety of Jewish and Israeli organizations and is on the Jewish Initiative for Animals’ advisory board. For more information about American Friends of the Hebrew
