Jewish Family Service of MetroWest conducts annual meeting
Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ hosted its annual meeting on June 17, in Whippany, where new officers were installed. Andrea G. Bier was honored as outgoing president and Steven J. Glass as incoming president.
In accordance with JFS MetroWest bylaws, the following people were elected to assume leadership on the board:
Steven J. Glass, West Orange, president; Shari Brandt, Pamela Davis, and Carrie Nussbaum, all of Short Hills, and Michael Elchoness, Livingston, vice presidents; Pamela Fishman, Short Hills, treasurer; and Rachel Goodman Wilf, Short Hills, secretary; Amy Black, Short Hills, presidential appointments; Andrea G. Bier, West Orange, immediate past president; Nancy Eskow and Marion Medow, Livingston, and Melanie Levitan, Morristown, past presidential appointments.
Elizabeth Bier, Caldwell, was nominated for an initial two-year term ending June 2026: Shari Brandt and Emily Neider, both Short Hills, and Stephen Weinstein, North Caldwell, were nominated for a first three-year term ending June 2027. Amy Black, Pamela Davis, and Sandi Z. Rosenbaum, Short Hills; Seth Cohen and Michael Elchoness, Livingston, and A. Gary Katz, Caldwell, were nominated for a second three-year term ending June 2028.
Pam Fishman, Steven J. Glass, Eta Levenson, Michael Levinson, Lisa Lindauer, Jed Marcus, Carrie Nussbaum, Lawrence Rein, Mark Roffman, Rita Yohalem, and Judith Zaks, are trustees continuing in their terms on the board.
Alan Cohen, Fred Cohen, Linda Jacobs, Peter Sayre, Jeffrey Shapiro, and David Sorkin are retiring from or rotating off the board.
Eta Levenson chaired the JFS nominating committee, which included Andrea G. Bier, Steven Glass, Seth Cohen, Melanie Levitan, Stephen Weinstein, and Rachel Goodman Wilf.
Jewish Family Service of MetroWest is a comprehensive social service agency providing mental health counseling and support services on a non-discriminatory basis.
