NJJBA holds High Holiday briefing for law enforcement agents
The New Jersey Jewish Business Association hosted its annual High Holidays law enforcement briefing at Hudson Regional Hospital. It brought together members of the law enforcement community, and business leaders to discuss safety and preparedness.
Speakers included Greg Ehrie, the chief security officer at the Port Authority of NY/NJ, who addressed regional security coordination, and Morris County Sheriff Jim Gannon, who focused community policing. Rabbi Mendel Solomon and Chaplain Yisroel Bursztyn discussed the spiritual meaning of the holidays and on how to foster trust between law enforcement and the community.
“This briefing underscores our shared responsibility to keep our communities safe,” David Rosenberg, NJJBA’s executive director, said. Hudson County Commissioner “Working closely with the community ensures a safe High Holidays and builds lasting relationships,” Hudson County commission Anthony Romano, who retired as a captain from the Hoboken police captain, said.
