Rutgers Jewish Film Festival is November 6 to 16

The Rutgers Jewish Film Festival will feature 11 thought-provoking and entertaining films, discussions with filmmakers and special guests, and New Jersey premieres of some films. It will run from November 6 to 16, at the Regal Cinema Commerce Center in North Brunswick.

The films come from the United States, Israel, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Poland, and Hungary, and offer new perspectives on Jewish history, identity, and experience. There is something for everyone, from an examination of interracial protests in 1960s America to a look at Stockholm’s vibrant contemporary Yiddish scene; from works focusing on Holocaust resistance in Finland to international love stories.

The festival is sponsored by Rutgers University’s Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life and made possible by a grant from the Karma Foundation.

Tickets are $15. For information and updates, go to BildnerCenter.Rutgers.edu/film.
