Temple Sha’arey Shalom celebrates Passover with new rabbi

Temple Sha’arey Shalom in Springfield offered a Passover seder led by Rabbi Uri Allen and Cantor Jason Roseman.

Rabbi Allen of Livingston became Sha’arey Shalom’s spiritual leader on February 1. He has a degree in Jewish studies from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in Jewish thought from Shalom Hartman Institute/Tel Aviv University, and rabbinic ordination and a master’s in rabbinic studies from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies.

The synagogue’s president, Bill Moesch, said, “Congregants have warmly welcomed Rav Uri, and see him as a vibrant member of our community.” For more information about the shul and upcoming events, go to shaarey.org.
