The JCC of Central NJ installs its new board
On June 9, the JCC of Central NJ in Scotch Plains held its annual meeting. Lauren Barr was appointed as the next board president, seven new board members were appointed, and the JCC thanked seven outgoing board members. The outgoing JCC president, Tracey Hoberman, is now immediate past president.
Ms. Barr and her family have been members of the JCC for almost 15 years. Her four children attended the JCC preschool and have been active participants in Camp Yachad and the JCC’s youth theater program. She served on the executive committee as treasurer, secretary, and first vice president. She co-chaired the Governance and Nominating committee for four years and served as an Early Childhood Parent committee co-chair.
After a hiatus, two JCC past presidents return — Ken Rotter as treasurer and Joan Levinson as a board member. Jeff Silverstein also returns as a board member. Stefanie Forman, Lauren Kennedy, Steven Newler, and Rachel Stuart are first-time board members. Returning executive committee members include first vice president Scott Stavin, secretary Debra Judd, and assistant secretary/treasurer Brian Cohen. Auxiliary officer Tamra Feldman and parliamentarian Eric Martin are the new executive committee members. Returning board members include Sara David-Fisher, Michelle Fiddler, June Fischer, Michael Gladstone, Robert Jankowitz, Talia Janofsky, Adam Love, Jessica Silverstein, Naomi Tilman, Jacob Toporek, Suzanne Tucker, and Randi Siegel Weniger.
