The war that the United States and Israel are waging against Iran is changing quickly. We are a weekly and so cannot give you up-to-date news of that war; it would be out of date before the ink dries. (And yes, to our online readers, we are a print-first publication.)
But we can give you stories about how people felt when the war began; how they see a situation that is unpredictable but is sure to change lives, we hope — but cannot know —for the better.
The war began as Purim approached; the ironies and echoes are inescapable, as these stories reflect.
