If you can’t do the time, don’t ticktock your lion!
That, at least, is our takeaway from a recent raid by Israeli Border Police detectives and inspectors from the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, who raided an apartment in central Israel to seize a lion cub who had been featured in a series of videos posted to Tik Tok and other social networks.
Police said the investigation was ongoing and they were searching for more suspects.
The recovered lion cub was taken into the care of the Nature and Parks Authority.
News accounts were unclear about the possible penalty under Israel’s criminal code for unlicensed lioning.
