Introduction to Judaism class
The New Jersey region of the Rabbinical Assembly offers a 24-session, three-track comprehensive Introduction to Judaism class. The program, which begins in late October, meets in person in both Hoboken and Morristown; a third section is entirely online.
Instructors include Rabbis Rob Scheinberg of Hoboken, David Nesson of Morristown, and Akiba Lubow, who will teach the remote class.
The course is for anyone who has wondered about Judaism or is thinking about converting to Judaism or becoming part of a Jewish family. The course fulfills many of the educational requirements towards conversion to Judaism.
The online class will meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon. In Hoboken, the classes will be on Wednesdays, and in Morristown they will be on Thursdays. All will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Some financial aid is available.
