Gaelen art show winners announced
“MARDI GRAS AM Celebrations,” a mixed media piece by Susan Holford, was awarded Best in Show of the 20th annual JCC MetroWest Gaelen Juried Art Show & Sale.
The show was established by Audrey and Norbert Gaelen with the aim of offering talented and creative artists a prestigious venue for their art. This year’s exhibit includes over 80 works of art by 45 area artists; most of the artwork is available for purchase.
The show runs through Sunday, July 28, at Gaelen Gallery West on the Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; and select Sundays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (hours vary; call ahead at 973-929-3167). Admission is free. The winners will be exhibited at galleries at JCC MetroWest’s Leon & Toby Cooperman Campus in West Orange throughout the 2019-20 Gaelen Arts season.
