Israeli Scouts performing in Livingston
Israel’s renowned Friendship Caravan of the Tzofim — better known as the Israeli Scouts — will perform live at “Still Dancing,” a free, family-friendly celebration on Tuesday, June 10, at 5:30 p.m. in Livingston. The caravan is known for its high-energy mix of music, dance, and storytelling. The talented teens, members of Israel’s largest youth movement, aren’t just performers, they’re also leaders. In partnership with Jewish National Fund-USA, the Tzofim embody the resilience, pride, and joy of Israel as they strengthen bonds between Jewish communities around the world.
“When the Israeli scouts take the stage, you feel it in your soul,” Livingston Mayor Ed Meinhardt said. “It’s like someone opened a window into Israel — full of color, culture, and connection. Their passion lights up the room and brings people together in a way that’s truly powerful.”
Guests will also hear from Russell F. Robinson, CEO of Jewish National Fund-USA, who will give an update on the organization’s philanthropic Israel Resilience Campaign. Through bold initiatives like its Build Together and Reimagine plans, Jewish National Fund-USA is rebuilding lives and communities in Israel’s South and strengthening the country’s North following the tragic events of October 7, 2023.
Adding a personal local touch, Bella Jenis, a junior at Livingston High School and proud alumna of Jewish National Fund-USA’s Alexander Muss High School in Israel, will speak about her life-changing experience studying abroad.
Admission is free, but advance registration is required. To sign up or learn more, go to jnf.org/tzofim or email Celine Leeds, the executive director of the Tzofim’s Central New Jersey, at cleeds@jnf.org, or call her at (973) 593-0095, ext. 820.
