The New Jersey Jewish Business Alliance held a day of advocacy in Washington, D.C. Its leaders and members had meetings with Congress members, senior administration officials, and leaders of key federal agencies.

They discussed the need for stronger federal support and incentives for domestic manufacturing. The group urged policymakers to adopt measures that empower businesses to manufacture in the United States and reduce dependence on foreign supply chains. The Small Business Administration announced the launch of its first loan program dedicated to supporting small manufacturers. Another item on the NJJBA agenda was advocating for the exemption of tariffs on etrogim; they’re not grown in the United States and therefore must be imported. The effect of NJJBA advocacy is not just for the community, but for the broader business landscape. For information, go to www.njjba.com
