Novelist to talk to NCJW
Historical novelist Michelle Cameron of Chatham will be the guest speaker for the West Morris National Council of Jewish Women’s paid-up membership brunch on Sunday, November 12, at 10 a.m., at a private home in Mendham. Ms. Cameron’s latest novel, “Babylon,” centers on the tension between tradition and assimilation throughout Jewish history.
Ms. Cameron’s new book is the story of a Judean family exiled to Babylon, set against the ambition of Nebuchadnezzar’s royal court and the struggle of biblical prophets and scribes to keep the Hebrew faith alive.
To RSVP for the brunch, email dorothy_irvingcohen@msn.com or go to ncjwwestmorris.org/membership.
